Chris Dinkins was officially introduced as the new director of the Daniel Morgan Technology Center Wednesday.
Dinkins, the director of the Fairfield Career and Technology Center in Fairfield County, was named to the position last month. The Daniel Morgan center serves students in Spartanburg School Districts 3 and 7.
Dinkins is replacing Bill Price, who retired.
“He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position, and we are excited about the future growth of the Center under his leadership,” District 3 Superintendent Kenny Blackwood said in a statement.
Dinkins has been with the Fairfield Center since 2012. He is currently working on his doctorate in higher education leadership and management policy.
He has been a business instructor at the Enoree Career and Technology Center and an assistant principal at Mauldin Middle School in Greenville County.
He was also an assistant director at the R.D. Anderson Applied Technology Center, which serves Spartanburg Districts 4, 5 and 6.
“Chris will focus on building on our current strengths and advancing our goals to make Daniel Morgan one of the premier technology centers in South Carolina,” said District 7 Superintendent Russell Booker.
