JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Winn-Dixie on Baymeadows Road has been approved to allow customers “to enjoy beer and wine while doing their grocery shopping,” according to a report from the Financial News & Daily Record.
The Jacksonville Planning Commission approved an application from Southeastern Grocers for a waiver of the minimum distance requirements for a liquor license location because a church and school are near the Winn-Dixie.
But a spokesman for Southeastern Grocers would not confirm that the store, which anchors the Point Meadows shopping center, will pursue the option, the Record reported.
