Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Mining, Power and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were PIK SHb PJSC (), which rose 0.59% or 3.50 points to trade at 594.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Rosneft PJSC () added 0.05% or 0.15 points to end at 315.50 and TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin Pref () was down 0.55% or 2.80 points to 510.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO (), which fell 10.59% or 1.36 points to trade at 11.46 at the close. United Company Rusal IPJSC () declined 5.60% or 1.52 points to end at 25.65 and Severstal PJSC () was down 5.21% or 33.60 points to 611.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 194 to 49 and 11 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was up 4.04% to 46.66.

for December delivery was up 0.66% or 29.85 to $4,575.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, for delivery in October rose 2.16% or 1.82 to hit $86.21 a barrel, while the October fell 0.02% or 0.02 to trade at $93.19 a barrel.

USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 83.76, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 97.82.
