Emmerdale’s Mackenzie star supported as he asks fans for money

Emmerdale’s Lawrence Robb has been supported after asking fans for “their hard-earned money”.

The actor plays Mackenzie Boyd in the long-running ITV show, and his character has been at some of the soap’s most dramatic storylines of late. The character has been through a turbulent period in the fictional Yorkshire village after he cheated on his wife, Charity Dingle.

Mack had an affair with Chloe Harris, who became pregnant from their relationship. There was then a car crash in which he left Chloe to potentially fall to her death, choosing to save Charity instead.

He was later kidnapped by Chloe’s father “Harry”, who Charity shot dead in self-defence. Suffering with PTSD in the aftermath of the shooting, Charity has been having night terrors and recently stabbed Mackenzie during a particularly terrifying episode.

Away from the cameras, thankfully, actor Lawrence is absolutely fine. He took to Instagram on Sunday to make a plea to his thousands of followers.

In a video Lawrence said: “This year I have decided to run the London Marathon. I’m running it for Samaritans” adding: “It’s a wonderful cause [and] I’m trying to raise as much money as possible to help people, to make people realise that they’re not alone”.
