Man Utd are interested in signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson in the summer transfer window.

Nottingham Forest manager Vitor Pereira said “everything can happen” when asked if Elliot Anderson could be sold this summer following his side’s defeat to Manchester United. Anderson is at the top of United’s transfer shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window, and he impressed during his audition at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Anderson outmuscled Amad and played a beautiful cross into the box to assist Morato’s equaliser for Forest at the start of the second half. The 23-year-old also impressed with his range of passing throughout the game.
Anderson has established himself as one of the Premier League’s finest midfielders since his move to Forest from Newcastle, and he is set to start for England at this summer’s World Cup.

Manchester City are understood to be in pole position to sign Anderson this summer, though, and another stumbling block for United could be his price tag, as Forest value their talented midfielder at £100million.
Pereira spoke about Anderson after his side’s defeat at Old Trafford, saying: “He has the talent to be one of the top of the top, every time he can score more goals, especially he can be a little bit more take a bit more the risk in the last third, he has a very good shot.
“It depends on the system. If we give him total freedom to build the play I think he can do everything but we are playing with two midfielders, if he loses every time the position, we have one midfielder.
“It is a system that doesn’t give him total freedom to create. He needs to understand when the other one loses the position, he cannot but he has a lot of talent and is young and will fly with big wings.
When asked if Anderson would stay at the City Ground, he responded: “This is an answer that I don’t have. The market is the market, everything can happen. What I can say to you is the club wants to keep him playing for us for sure.
“The club wants to keep the players. This is a very good group with quality, with character and we are in a very good place for the next season.”
Anderson has started every Premier League game except one for Forest this season, demonstrating durability and playing a pivotal role in their campaign as they reached the Europa League semi-finals.
He is also seen as crucial to England by national team manager Thomas Tuchel.
