After a bad break-up, well-wishers often say: “You dodged a bullet.” This can be annoying to hear. Particularly if you, the broken-hearted, are fairly confident the bullet didn’t actually miss you at all. Sometimes though, the well-wishers have a point.
This is often the case in relationships plagued by financial imbalances. Perhaps that looks like goals and spending mismatches. Or it may be financial infidelity – where one partner makes spending decisions that affect the other’s stability or goals without telling them.
