Goryeong-gun Sees Positive Response to Strawberry Seedling Training… Strengthening Foundation for High-Quality Production

The Goryeong-gun Agricultural Technology Center in North Gyeongsang Province conducted a ‘Strawberry Seedling Latest Technology Training’ session on June 11 for local strawberry growers.

This training was organized to enhance seedling management capabilities for farmers struggling with abnormal weather conditions and to establish a foundation for the production of high-quality strawberries.

Jeon Yeonju, an agricultural extension officer who led the lecture, provided practical technical information applicable in the field, including an overview of strawberry seedling facility operations in Goryeong-gun, an analysis of this year’s weather conditions, key challenges in the seedling stage, and response strategies.

The Goryeong-gun Agricultural Technology Center previously held a training session on the use of beneficial microorganisms and has now followed up with this strawberry seedling workshop.

In July, a special lecture on potato cultivation is planned to continue supporting farmers in improving their expertise and increasing their income.

The competitiveness of high-quality strawberries is determined not at harvest but during the seedling stage. Systematic technical training is becoming the starting point for cultivating strong, small-scale farms.
