GlobalMed Logistix (GMLx) has appointed Caroll H. Neubauer to its board of directors, adding a veteran medical technology executive as the specialized healthcare logistics company expands its national distribution network and strengthens its position in the medical device supply chain.

Neubauer joins the board as GMLx continues investing in growth following its transition to a standalone company earlier this year with backing from Water Street Healthcare Partners. The appointment comes as the company broadens its logistics platform to support medical device manufacturers navigating increasingly complex regulatory, distribution and inventory requirements.

GMLx Chief Executive Officer Patrick Daly said Neubauer’s decades of experience leading a global medical technology company will provide valuable insight as the business expands its services for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). He noted that Neubauer’s understanding of regulatory requirements, customer expectations and operational scale closely aligns with the challenges facing today’s medical device industry.

Neubauer brings more than 30 years of global medtech leadership experience, including service on the Global Management Board of the B. Braun Group, where he helped grow the company’s annual revenue from approximately $1 billion to more than $8 billion. He also served as chairman and chief executive officer of B. Braun USA, leading the company’s North American operations and helping establish its position in infusion therapy and pain management.

Beyond his corporate leadership, Neubauer has played a prominent role in industry advocacy. He served on the board of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) for more than 15 years and was instrumental in the organization’s successful campaign to repeal the U.S. medical device excise tax in 2019. In recognition of his contributions, AdvaMed presented him with its Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024.

Commenting on his appointment, Neubauer said GMLx occupies an important position within the medical technology supply chain and is well positioned to expand its specialized logistics platform. He said he looks forward to supporting the company’s leadership team as it builds relationships with established and emerging medical device manufacturers.

The board appointment follows GMLx’s recent announcement of a new Western U.S. logistics hub in Utah’s Salt Lake Valley, creating a bi-coastal distribution network designed specifically for the medical device industry. Scheduled to open this fall, the facility will expand the company’s ability to support manufacturers of orthopedic, spine, cardiovascular and dental products across the United States.

The expansion reflects broader changes in the medtech sector, where manufacturers increasingly rely on specialized logistics providers capable of managing time-sensitive, high-value products that require strict regulatory compliance, precise inventory management and dependable delivery to hospitals, surgery centers and healthcare providers.

GlobalMed Logistix specializes in logistics services for the medical device industry, providing inventory and surgical case management, kit and tray assembly, reverse logistics, tissue storage, quality and compliance services, and technology-enabled supply chain solutions. As healthcare manufacturers continue seeking partners with specialized expertise, the company is positioning itself to support both established global device makers and emerging medtech innovators through an expanded national logistics network.
