KAI to Participate in “2026 Land, Infrastructure and Transport Technology Expo” Showcasing Space and Aviation Capabilities

Portfolio Showcasing Land Satellite No. 2, Ultra-small SAR, and Next-generation Optical Satellites

Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced that it will participate in the “2026 Land, Infrastructure and Transport Technology Expo,” which will be held at COEX in Seoul from June 24 to 26, showcasing its integrated satellite system capabilities and future mobility technologies.

The Land, Infrastructure and Transport Technology Expo, hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement, is an exhibition that promotes government R&D achievements and private sector innovations. The event has been held annually since 2010.

For this exhibition, KAI will operate its booth by dividing it into two zones: a Satellite Zone and a Future Air Mobility (AAV) Zone.

Under the theme of global future air mobility, KAI will participate in strategic technology seminars and aerospace development forums, marketing the necessity of domestic research and development as well as commercialization to government officials and related organizations.

KAI will also exhibit a satellite portfolio ranging from medium and large-sized satellites, such as next-generation medium satellites, optical satellites, and ultra-small synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites, to low Earth orbit satellites, as well as its future mobility solution, the AAV.

The Next-Generation Medium Satellite No. 2 (Land Satellite No. 2), which was launched in May, is an observation satellite that captures high-resolution images of Korea’s territory. It is utilized across various public sectors and highlights KAI’s technological prowess in continuously executing subsequent national land satellite projects.

The “Ultra-small SAR Satellite,” which will also be showcased, is currently under development with highly reliable, all-weather observation technology. It offers scalability to meet diverse public sector demands, and will be developed alongside the land observation satellite scheduled for launch later this year.

KAI will also present its advanced technologies in the future mobility solution “AAV” and low Earth orbit communication satellites, providing a vision for achieving hyper-connectivity across the nation in the future.

In particular, the low Earth orbit communication satellites linked with AAV are set to become key infrastructure for future transportation systems. Through government R&D, KAI plans to develop two low Earth orbit 6G communication demonstration satellites, which are scheduled for launch and verification around 2030.
