Investment platform Groww reported a strong financial performance for Q1FY27, with profit after tax (PAT) rising 94.4% year-on-year to ₹735 crore, compared with ₹378 crore in Q1 FY26, driven by revenue growth, operating leverage having played out across all the cost buckets and increasing contribution from newer products such as MTF and commodity.

The company’s total income grew 63.3% year-on-year to ₹1,549 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹948 crore in Q1 FY26, while revenue from operations increased 66% to ₹1,501 crore from ₹904 crore during the same period.

The investment platform has emerged as the market leader in retail commodity derivatives, according to its Q1 FY27 results.

The company’s market share stands at 28.6%, with notional ADTO of ₹2.43 lakh crore across MCX and NSE, displacing Angel One (₹2.36 lakh crore across MCX, NCDEX and NSE), the segment leader until now.

Groww launched commodity trading less than a year ago. Users have grown from 27,000 in Q2 FY26 to over 4.35 lakh by end-June 2026, a 16x jump in three quarters.

Groww also reported strong growth across customer and platform metrics. Total transacting users rose 24% year-on-year to 2.2 crore from 1.8 crore, while total customer assets increased 38% to ₹3.6 lakh crore from ₹2.6 lakh crore. The platform recorded net inflows of ₹23,000 crore during the quarter.

Groww extended its market leadership across categories by adding 115,000 net clients, driven by higher retention and superior product quality, despite an industry-wide slowdown.

In mutual funds, the company remains the largest distribution platform for direct mutual funds in India, with ₹1.9 lakh crore of direct MF AUM, and the SIP Inflows grew 32% YoY, double the industry’s 16%. SIP inflows grew to ₹13,229 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹10,020 crore in Q1 FY26, representing 32% growth year-on-year.

Groww AMC has scaled as well, seeing 140% growth in AUM over the last year to ₹5,491 crore from ₹2,286 crore, in addition to the company having received SEBI and CCI approval for the strategic investment by State Street Global Advisors into Groww AMC.

The company’s shares closed at Rs 216.40, up by 6.16 per cent on BSE.
