The Government has announced the final tranche of appointments to Ministerial positions in the Department of Health and Social care.
Baroness Merron, first appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Mental Health and Women’s Health Strategy in July 2024, will continue to speak for the Government on all health and social care issues in the House of Lords.
Two further Ministerial appointments are Alison McGovern MP as Minister of State in the Department of Health and Social Care and James Frith MP as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State. Ms McGovern had previously served since July 2024 as Minister of State for Employment, whilst Mr Frith had previously served as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Digital Government.
