(Togo First) – Moroccan official Malika Dhif has been serving as an executive director at the African Development Bank (AfDB) since September 2022, representing Togo, Morocco and Tunisia.

Based at the AfDB’s headquarters in Abidjan, she participates in the Board’s strategic decisions and reviews the Bank’s operations involving the three countries.

Her appointment followed a career in Morocco’s public finance administration. Before joining the AfDB, Dhif served as deputy director at the Treasury and External Finance Directorate, where she gained extensive experience in public finance, international economic cooperation and resource mobilization.

Dhif joined the Board during a period of change in the AfDB’s governance. She was one of five women appointed to the body in 2022, increasing female representation within one of the institution’s main decision-making bodies.

Her experience in public finance and international cooperation supports her work on the AfDB’s policies and investment decisions affecting the constituency she represents.
