US-based ETP sponsor WisdomTree has announced that SpaceX will be added to the WisdomTree Space Economy Ucits ETF from 29 June 2026, following its widely-anticipated IPO.
The addition brings one of the world’s most influential commercial space companies into the ETF, strengthening the strategy’s exposure to the ongoing commercialisation of space.
SpaceX will enter the ETF with an initial 5.5% weighting. Under the index methodology, SpaceX is expected to qualify for a target weighting in excess of 10%, with subsequent increases anticipated over the coming months as market liquidity develops following the IPO.
The WSPC ETF provides diversified exposure to companies driving the development of the global space economy across four key verticals: launches and infrastructure, commercial space, defence space and emerging technologies.
The fund seeks to track the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the WisdomTree Space Economy Ucits Index and has a total expense ratio of 0.50%. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange, Börse Xetra, Borsa Italiana, Euronext Paris and SIX Swiss Exchange.
Pierre Debru, Head of Research, Europe, WisdomTree ,said: “SpaceX has played a defining role in lowering barriers to space, increasing launch frequency and accelerating commercial participation across the sector. Its inclusion shortly after its market debut reflects the flexibility of WisdomTree’s proprietary indexing approach, allowing the strategy to respond to significant changes in the investable universe while remaining transparent, rules-based and aligned with the fund’s objective.
“Following its IPO, investors can now gain exposure to one of the most influential commercial space companies shaping the future of space as part of a diversified strategy designed to capture the long-term growth of the space economy.”
