Academic leading new Goldsmiths creative industries institute argues mixed funding reduces reliance on tuition fees
Reducing reliance on tuition fees through a “mixed economy” of academic and industrial collaboration is the “modern model” for universities and creative subjects, the leader of a new creative lab has said.
Jonathan Freeman, a professor of psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London, told Research Professional News that the upcoming Futures of Creativity and Innovation (Foci) Institute would combine “the rigor and robustness of the academic world with the agility and…applied thinking of the commercial world”.
