Voters also have a mixed view of modernity, finding some trends to be negative and others to be positive. While majorities of voters think that economic growth, the global integration of our economy, multiculturalism, and modern technology have been positive developments, majorities also express negativity toward certain changes in our lifestyles, including increased time spent indoors, the decline in religion, and increased consumption of medications, technology, and material goods.
