On June 19 Axelar reported an attacker drained approximately $4.67 million worth of tokens from Secret Network by exploiting an ICS-20-based smart contract used for cross-chain transfers. The incident exposes a bridge security weakness in Cosmos-based infrastructure that raises DeFi and cross-chain adoption risk, although Axelar said the issue was isolated to the Secret-side ICS-20 contract.
